Some of you reading this (well, probably most of you) know me or have met me in "real life.” That is great. Thank you for taking time to read this. I hope you continue to follow what I have to write here. For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Brett Boe. I am a believer and disciple of Jesus Christ, husband of Theresa, daddy to three beautiful children, pastor of King of Glory Lutheran Church in Shakopee, MN, and more. Blogging has a way of exposing who you are to people. I look forward to that.
“Why,” you may be asking, “are you submitting another blog into the blogosphere?” For the most part, I agree. The internet is chock full of content. I find that constant stream of information overwhelming at times. The purpose of this blog is to create a resource for the edification, or building up in the faith, of those that I serve as pastor. For anybody else reading, I hope you too find content that edifies you. I hope to be edified as I write as well.
As I plan to write for this blog, my intended audience, first and foremost, is the sheep of King of Glory Lutheran Church. Though I can’t meet with everyone in our church face to face on a weekly basis (that would be pretty much impossible), I hope that I can share something with you beyond Sunday morning and any other interactions we have.
Some blog posts may be short, some may be long. I don’t really want to make any firm promises. Today I will give you a hint as to what to expect in this blog.
My posts will vary between sermon extras, recommended resources, devotional thoughts, and other miscellaneous content. Here are some samples:
Beyond titling this blog, “Pastor Brett’s blog,” I don’t really have any name for it. Maybe that will become more clear as time goes on.
Please comment. Or better yet, if a comment or question comes to mind while reading, tell me the next time you see me.
I pray this blog is a blessing to many. To Christ be all the glory!
